Malala is the first citizen from Pakistan to have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. The world's youngest nobel laureate is an inspiration and voice of many girls who want to educate themselves. Two years later, she would survive being shot in the head by a masked gunman who jumped on her school bus, looking for her. Yousafzai spent her last birthday opening a school for adolescent Syrian refugees in Lebanon, called The Malala Yousafzai All-Girls School. (more...)

Gordon was shot and killed during the shooting spree. Two court bailiffs were killed and a deputy sheriff shot Monday inside a southwestern MI courthouse when an inmate broke loose and got his hands on an officer's gun, officials said. Kienzle retired as a sergeant of the Benton Township police department after serving in the U.S. Army. "A person has shot two bailiffs, they are both deceased", Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey said in a news conference. (more...)

Joseph Zangaro, one of the two bailiffs shot and killed by an inmate who went on a rampage inside a MI courthouse, was a retired police officer who was chief of security at the courthouse, according to The Detroit Free Press . Joseph, Michigan, according to the Berrien County Sheriff's Department. He retired from the Michigan State Police as commander of the Bridgman Post in Berrien County. (more...)
