The Blue Cut Fire outside of Los Angeles is now more than 80 percent contained, and the 82,000 people who were displaced by the blaze can now return home. Jeremy Jeffress was arrested Friday morning for DWI. He was also slurring his speech, police say. Jeffress admitted to drinking three to four cups of Hennessy cognac and Coke between 12:15 a.m. The right-hander was suspended for 50 games in 2007 and for 100 games in 2009 . McFarland, who last pitched in a major league game on June 28, is 2-2 with a 5.63 ERA in 15 appearances for the Orioles this season. (more...)

Dwyane Wade's cousin was shot and killed in Chicago on Friday (Aug. 26). Jolinda Wade said it was the second child her sister has lost to gun violence. Wade's nephew Darin Johnson was one of six people shot by two gunmen in a South Side convenience store in 2012.
