A derailed train is seen in Eseka, Cameroon on October 21, 2016. According to Sky News, a Reuter's journalist travelling in a wagon near the front of the train said: "There was a loud noise". Rescue workers and medical staff spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not permitted to speak to the press.
