Miller's Moment: Cleveland reliever chosen MVP of ALCS
- October 25, 2016

Encarnacion told reporters Wednesday Toronto is his first choice in free agency, but added he was "really sad" because he "doesn't know what's going to happen". Did anyone offer pregame advice before Merritt became just the third pitcher in major league history to make his first career playoff start after logging fewer than five regular-season starts in his career? They may have to do that without Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion , who have combined for 608 home runs and 1,804 RBIs. (more...)

- October 25, 2016

His usually whirlwind Liverpool were effectively subdued in the first half as Mourinho reverted to conservative type, bringing in Marouane Fellaini to partner Ander Herrera in a stifling central midfield combination. The other aspect of last night's match from and Arsenal point of view is, of course, what we can expect when coming up against United and that is set to haoppen straight after the next global break. - October 25, 2016

I was generally aware of that part of the team's personality, but didn't believe it was part of their DNA. "I wouldn't say we are a slow group but we aren't a quick up and down group - we have to play a very smart game". If they can manoeuvre injury luck and free agency and the draft and all those things and keep a competent team around those four, there should be at least a couple titles to be won here. (more...)

Lahiri takes four-stroke lead as Thomas stumbles at CIMB Classic
- October 24, 2016

When you over try it, this is what happens, it is a learning curve for me. A win would have earned a two-year exemption on PGA Tour, besides virtually ensuring a place in FedEx Cup play-offs at the end of the 2017 season as the victor got 500 points and the last place to get into play-offs in 2016 needed 408 points.
