A Bronx fencer took home silver in the men's saber competition in Rio Wednesday night. "I was more nervous than I thought I'd be, even I tried hard not to be so tense", he said with a sigh. The journey began some 20 years ago, with a little boy looking at a picture of a fencer in a children's dictionary. Like Westbrook, Homer is black, a rarity in the sport. (more...)
