Foods including bread, breakfast cereals, biscuits, cakes and even coffee all contain acrylamide, which becomes more abundant the more the food is cooked. The FSA also says potatoes should not be kept in the fridge. They also urge people to stop storing potatoes in the fridge, which leads to a chemical change called cold sweetening that increases acrylamide. (more...)
