Last month, Menendez told reporters he didn't think prosecutors would retry him. For the whole of 2017, the quantity bought in retail sales in Britain increased by 1.9 percent, the lowest annual growth since 2013, according to ONS . Many retailers had been hoping that December would help make up for some of the disappointments during the year. Total retail sales were therefore up 1.4% on December the previous year compared badly with the 2.6% estimate and the prior month's 1.5% gain. (more...)

An unlikely hero saved two teen swimmers on Thursday when a drone dropped a flotation device as the pair were stranded in heavy surf.
