The U.S. Commerce Department says the deficit fell to $43.6 billion in February, or 9.6% lower than January's deficit of $48.2 billion. Imports rose 0.6% to C$46.31 billion in February, and advanced 1.4% on a year-over-year basis. "Moreover, any policies that serve to disrupt global trade may result in unintended negative consequences for the American economy". In February, exports of goods and services increased 0.2 percent to $192.9 billion, the highest level since December 2014. (more...)
