Total income increased to Rs 5,042 crore at the end of second quarter from Rs 4,744 crore at the end of same period previous year. She said the bank received Rs 31,000 crore on Thursday and Rs 22,000 on Friday. SBI's net interest income - the difference between interest earned and interest expended - remained flat and grew 1.29 per cent y-o-y to Rs 14,437 crore and its net interest margin - a key measure of profitability - fell 27 basis points (bps).
