Shares of Monsanto rose 3 percent to end at $104.22 in NY, while Bayer closed up 0.5 percent at 93.44 euros ($103.88) in Frankfurt. Shares of BASF added 3.2 percent to 71.66 euros as of 10:35 a.m.in Frankfurt.
