Chanting "Bum Bum Bolay" and "Har Har Mahadev", the first batch of about 8,000 pilgrims today left Baltal and Pahalgam base camps for the holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas on the first day of the 48-day-long pilgrimage. A Louisiana state police official told a reporter with The Advocate that the protesters were "clearly blocking the roadway". Indian multinational company, Tata Steel is set to make an announcement on Friday that it "will pause" the sale of most of its United Kingdom business, including Port Talbot in Wales, the BBC reported on Thursday. The Community union said the move continued uncertainty for thousands of steelworkers and their families. The Coalition needs 76 to form government, which the support of the three independents gives them, but as counting continues in the seats still in doubt, the outer Brisbane seat of Forde has LNP candidate Bert van Manen with 50.3% - almost 500 votes - of the two-party-preferred (2PP) vote, despite a 4.1% swing to Labor, with 78.2% of the vote counted.
