Ragnar Klavan completes move to Cagliari

Sergio Ramos says he would never deliberately hurt a player

Ragnar Klavan won't be available against Palace as he's set to complete a move to Cagliari this weekend while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is obviously still out as he continues to recover from a serious knee injury.

But Klopp says: "I didn't hear that anything is finally sorted. I have no intention of hurting a player deliberately", Ramos said.

Other players could also leave Liverpool this month, with the transfer window remaining open across Europe, as Klopp looks to trim his squad of fringe players who are keen to secure regular playing time. "That's how it is".

Jurgen Klopp has revealed summer signing Fabinho could be utilised as an auxiliary centre-half this season after he all but confirmed the departure of Ragner Klavan.

"No [there's no target], it's about the situation". So I respect him, but we both know on the pitch we must fight for our team. Is there an offer or not?

"That won't happen, we're not in a financial need where we need to do that".

Gomez partnered Van Dijk for the comprehensive 4-0 beating of West Ham in Liverpool's Premier League opener last week and Klopp hailed his qualities at centre-back.

"He had a big injury". He's fit which is very good. A very good football player, together with Virgil.

With Dejan Lovren late back from the World Cup and Joel Matip injured, the 21-year-old was given the chance to play for the first team and managed to stake his claim in excellent fashion. Townsend is a fantastic football player and Schlupp in a slight different position.

Liverpool supporters, however, revelled in the fact that Ramos, who was seemingly unharmed by the challenge, was given his comeuppance - even if it wasn't enough to force him off the field as it was Salah.
