Capcom Confirms No VR Support for Resident Evil 2 Remake

Resident Evil 2's Cover Channels Classic Key Art

With the reveal at E3 2018 of the Resident Evil 2 remake, there has been speculation on if Capcom would seek to emulate that success by bringing VR in, but a recent interview suggests that is not the case. This includes Arklay Sheriff and Noir costumes for Leon, Elza Walker, Military and Noir costumes for Clair, an Albert Model Samurai Edge Deluxe Weapon and an option to swap to the "Original Version" Soundtrack. The collector's edition is exclusive to Gamestop and EB Games stores in North Ameria for $199.99.

Capcom also previously confirmed that the Resident Evil 2 remake will be making its way to the PC and Xbox One for $59.99.

For those unaware, the game will be a total remake of the original classic survival-horror game instead of being a remastered version. Leon and Claire soon take refuge in the R.P.D., where they attempt to plan their escape and rescue as many citizens as possible.

Resident Evil 2 introduced characters who would go on to become some of the most iconic and beloved heroes in Capcom's history: rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies. Inside, you'll find "photos and files documenting events after the Raccoon City tragedy, and was filed away as a highly confidential document by the USA government". This has included some tweaks to basic enemy and character designs as well, with Claire Redfield getting a brand new look in Resident Evil 2 when it releases early next year. European fans: Additional details on the European Collector's Edition will be coming next month. Like counterpart Leon, Claire has a new face design (I've seen people say she looks like Zoey from Left 4 Dead).
