Cristiano Ronaldo Will Retire At Juventus Once Stint In Italy Is Done

Ronaldo signs for Juventus from Real Madrid

Juventus fans may be excited to have footballer Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad but Fiat Chrysler workers are not.

Fiat workers call strike over Cristiano Ronaldo. The motoring giant has been forced to lay off thousands of workers over the years over the company's lack of new auto models.

It went on to say that the companies' employees had been subjected to "a life of misery" and "unequal treatment, [which] can not and should not be accepted", calling on the owners to invest in new vehicle models to guarantee the future security of Fiat workers and to improve the finances of "thousands of people instead of just one".

Fiat has promised that, with its new investment scheme, all employees will be able to return to full employment by 2022.

The move brings an end to a hugely successful nine-year spell in Spain, and takes him further away from a tax fraud case that may end up costing the Portugal forward more than $20 million in fines.

The trade union known as Unione Sindicale di Base (USB), declared that workers at a plant in the south of Italy would go on a two-day strike beginning on July 15.

Being the all time leading goalscorer for Real Madrid by scoring 311 goals in 292 matches, Ronaldo played an influential part in Real Madrid's 3 successive Champions League titles.

The powerful statement further explained how the company ought to invest in auto models that "guarantee the futures of thousands of people" instead of spending exorbitant amounts on a single football player.

USB was protesting over the fact that tens of millions of euros were spent to hire Ronaldo while workers at FCA were being asked to make sacrifices.
