The best beauty looks at Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's pre-engagement bash

Stars trek to SoBo for Akash Ambani, Shloka Mehta

Well, for this auspicious occasion, the Ambani family has been doing solid preparations. Guests at the bash included actress Priyanka Chopra, who reportedly took singer Nick Jonas as her date to the Ambani house. In case you missed it, the couple's engagement invitations have already been revealed on Instagram, and well-wishers of the family have been waiting with bated breath on more news related to the big celebration.

Last night, Nick and PeeCee were spotted at Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's engagement party, before taking off to the U.S. early this morning. The pre-engagement bash was held at Ambani's residence Antilia on Wednesday evening. Shloka will get married by the end of this year to Akash Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, and she is already best friends with his sister, Isha Ambani.

Vidhu Vinod and Anupama Chopra, Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, and Brahmastra duo Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor were among the early birds. Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali attended the bash as well.

Nita Ambani looked gorgeous in a red saree by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla that was draped in the traditional Gujarati style.

A video of Akash's sister Isha Ambani welcoming Shloka too has gone viral. Nita Ambani wore a attractive heavily embellished red sari and equally stunning jewellery - an uncut diamond statement neckpiece paired with matching jhumkas, a nath and maangtika. She wore two attractive ensembles for the event - one by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and the other by Sabyasachi. Cars entered the driveway of the Mumbai high-rise under a blanket of vibrant flowers.
