'Permit Patty' allegedly calls cops on girl selling water

Viral video shows white woman calling police on young black girl selling bottled water

On Saturday, video of a white woman calling the police on an 8-year-old selling water bottles was uploaded to Instagram by the girl's mother.

A woman has been caught on camera calling the police on a little girl who was selling water out the front of her building without a permit. "She calling the police on an 8-year-old little girl".

The girl's mother captured Ettel calling cops on cell phone video and then posted it to Instagram.

"You can hide all you want; the whole world gon' see ya, boo", the woman filming the video says as she rounds the corner to confront the other woman, who stands up. "Can you please keep it down?'" Austin says that Ettel never approached the situation peacefully, and threatened to call police from the beginning.

Alison Ettel, who sells cannabis products for dogs, told the San Francisco Chronicle: "It was wrong, and I wish I could take it back".

In her defense, Ettel told HuffPost that the girl's race had nothing to do with the phone call she had only "pretended" to make.

Alison Ettel told the San Francisco Chronicle that the girl and her mother had been making noise for several hours. The smug expression on her face as she called the police drew instant comparisons to #BBQBecky in Oakland who called the police earlier this year on a Black family barbecuing by a lake.

In her interview Monday with "Today", Ettel said that she's not proud of her behavior and would like to apologize to the mother and daughter. She said: "They were screaming about what they were selling".

While selling water may not have gone as planned, Austin's daughter Jordan is one step closer to going to the "Happiest Place on Earth" after a Twitter follower purchased four tickets to Disneyland for Rodgers, their family said.

But after seeing Permit Patty at her worst, the director of the film made a decision to cut her out of the project and remove "all content that remotely promotes her or her business".

"We've been out before with my nieces who are full white and she didn't come out here and they were being way louder than Jordan was by herself", Austin added.

"I should have never confronted her".

"It was literally nonstop. It was continuous and it wasn't a soft voice, it was screaming".

Ettel told NBC News that she's not proud of how she acted and has extended an apology to Austin and Jordan.

"I have no problem with enterprising young women".

Meanwhile, the mother of the eight-year-old girl has promised to press charges against Ettel for harassment.

Despite that, Jordan was out the next day - still selling water.
