50M Units Sold with 400M Players Worldwide + Sanhok Release - PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

PUBG Pushes Back Against ‘Asset Flip’ Accusations

The game has now sold over 50 million units worldwide between Xbox One and PC; moreover, when considering the mobile version, the total number of players is over 400 million.

PUBG's Event Pass is, it seems, exactly the same as a standard Battle Pass.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, from its original price on Steam of $30, can now be bought for $20 for a 33 percent discount. It'll be rolled out alongside Sanhok on June 22.

PUBG Corp. has announced a new way for PUBG players to unlock cosmetic content, separate from the dire crate and key system.

In addition, devs are introducing a brand new way for players to unlock items in PUBG with a new system called the Event Pass that will arrive along with the Sanhok map later this week. You'll unlock items by completing missions and "leveling up" your pass, and it sounds like there will be plenty of missions to complete. Moreover, the rewards aren't tradeable so the only way to get them is to play the game.

The launch of the first PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds sale coincides with the release of the new Sanhok map, which will be available starting June 22. After earning certain levels, free DLC like clothing and weapon skins will unlock and a premium version of the Event Pass will unlock more faster.

If you want to unlock content from Sanhok Event Pass permanently, you'll need to buy into it.

The Event Pass lasts for four weeks, and will have daily objectives, weekly objectives and Sanhok specific objectives as an incentive for playing in Sanhok.

Players who don't purchase the Event pass will still get to take cracks at these missions, but they will only receive temporary access to the cosmetic items with the exception of a single special item that will be permanently available once unlocked.
