How Meghan Markle dared to break protocol at Queen's birthday parade

Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine, told PEOPLE, 'She was not as prominent perhaps as some people might have expected, but there's a pecking order'.

"There was no slight intended, but William being the older, more senior brother would go out first with his wife". But our tiny island may come to the rescue for Princess Meghan as both royals adore Malta. As usual, they also looked adorable for this major royal family photo op, with their 7-year-old cousin Savannah Phillips nearly stealing the show by pretending to conduct the orchestra or by putting her hand over George's mouth. The Los Angeles native broke protocol by wearing an off-the-shoulder, blush pink dress by Carolina Herrera, which she styled with a matching Philip Treacy hat.

During Kate's Trooping the Colour debut in 2011, she stood in the front, but to the far left of the balcony.

Since 1748, Trooping the Colour has also marked the official birthday of the British sovereign.

Plus-size model Erica Lauren has recently received loads of attention on social media networks due to her uncanny resemblance to the newly minted Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

As it turns out, despite her strength and independence, Markle's new lifestyle requires a guiding hand (or two)-especially when it comes to navigating the nitty gritty of the etiquette that accompanies royal traditions.

You can see Meghan whisper, "Do it?" to which Harry mutters back a quick "yes". If indeed, Meghan Markle was channeling Princess Diana with her dress choices, it would confirm the previous stories about Diana's son - Meghan's husband - Prince Harry being her "secret stylist". Her great-great grandmother Mary was born here and she says there's something magical about "fitting in a piece of the puzzle".

While there's a deeper implication to the remark - which suggests that joining the royal family lacks "joy" - the internet is focused on having a field day with McCartney's reference to the duchess's "human" side.
