CDPR outs Cyberpunk 2077 as a 'first-person RPG'

Cyberpunk 2077

"The game follows the story of V - a hired gun on the rise in Night City, the most violent and risky metropolis of the corporate-ruled future". After the trailer dropped, though, CD Projekt Red went nearly totally silent on the matter bar an announcement in 2015 that it would be concentrating on The Witcher franchise for the next two years, the claim that the game would be far bigger than The Witcher 3, already a hefty title, and the disclosure of an alleged security breach at the company in which an attacker was said to be ransoming internal files relating to the game.

You play a character called V, a hired gun.

In a world where you have no future, what matters is that you control who you are.

Unfortunately, there's still no date to look forward to for the release of Cyberpunk 2077. In a world of cyberenhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate lifehackers, today you take your first step towards becoming an urban legend. "That's what we want to give you". With that being said, what do you make of the developer's approach? Players will be able to actively comment on an NPC's appearance or tattoos to butter them up, or they can end the conversation early with a "well-placed bullet".

As it was evident by the reveal trailer, vehicles are a big part of the game too, and engaging in combat while riding is also confirmed.

Finally, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a unique dialogue system.

Night City - in between SF and LA (fictional city). With such an open-world experience to offer, we're going t obe spending a lot of time with the protagonist. Interestingly enough, CD Projekt Red has stated that each decision a player makes regarding these details "influence the shape of the game". Then use your blood money to invest in properties all around the city.

You can also enter buildings, even mega buildings with multiple floors.

With dozens of hours of main story arc quests, and many more of additional activities, there's always something to see and do in Night City.
