Hollow Knight coming to Nintendo Switch today

Nintendo Switch Hackers Being Banned From Online Services: Reports

Fortnite, the massive Battle Royale hit available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and iOS, found a new home at E3 2018 today: the Nintendo Switch. In Fortnite's case, trying to link the Epic Games account you have on the PS4 with the Nintendo Switch version results in an error saying this is not allowed. The game's battle royale mode, which has taken the world by storm, will now be playable on the Nintendo hybrid console.

For those keeping score, Fortnite is now available for the PC, macOS, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and iOS. Nintendo has previously tried to implement voice chat on Switch, though in classic Nintendo fashion it was via a weird, unwieldy system that required you to use an adapter to hook yourself up into both your Switch and your phone to use an app to chat with other players. (Just for a minute, it won't kill you.) The PlayStation 4 is the top dog among the console platforms.

For those who want to be first to download the new game, you'll need to log into the Switch store at the time mentioned above.

Early this morning, Simon Aarons tweeted a screenshot of Fortnite data pulled from Nintendo's eShop servers (more here, and a screenshot right on Nintendo's server here) as they prepare for the game's release.

But, now horrified parents have come forward to tell how their daughter became hooked to the game and would play up to 10 hours straight.

This effectively means that players on the Switch will not have access to any of the progress or cosmetic items they may have collected in their existing accounts if they had already used the account on the PS4. Participants will include the likes of National Basketball Association players Paul George, Andre Drummond, Kenneth Faried, Terrence Ross and Reggie Jackson, UFC fighters Sean O'Malley, Demetrious Johnson and Tyron Woodley, Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen and a slew of other celebrities and professional gamers.

So it may well cost you V-Bucks to send items to your buddies.
