The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were married at Windsor Castle last month, have timed their trip to coincide with the Invictus Games in Sydney in October.

In April 2014, Prince Harry's brother and sister-in-law, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, spent 18 days in the two countries.

The Duchess of Sussex rode in a carriage alongside her husband, The Duke of Sussex, with Kate Middleton and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall riding ahead of them.

Though it's not the first time Meghan has donned the tilted accessory, as she previously wore the powder pink hat at Prince Charles' 70th birthday celebrations with a sheer dress by London-based label Goat.

Trooping the Colour 2018 marks the Cambridge children's first appearance since Harry and Meghan's royal nuptials. She is due to join Queen Elizabeth in Cheshire for her first solo appearance alongside the Queen on Thursday.

The Duchess of Sussex made her debut on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on Saturday, joining Prince Harry and the rest of her royal in-laws to celebrate the Queen's official birthday with the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony.

The first British royal to visit Australia was Prince Alfred, the son of Queen Victoria, in 1867 as part of his round-the-world voyage. They are expected to travel to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.

Markle previously raised a select few eyebrows with her choice of wedding dress, which also let a bit of shoulder peek through.

The Queen, who has attended every Trooping of the Colour of her reign (bar 1955 when it was cancelled due to strike action), also arrived in a carriage.

All four countries are members of the Commonwealth, the 53-nation group for which Harry is a youth ambassador. "They will go on, and good luck to them, long after we are a republic".
