‘Halo Infinite’ Revealed In Trailer at E3 With Master Chief

Sony recently suggested that it won't reveal the new PlayStation until 2021, and that kind of timeline makes sense for Microsoft as well.

The reveal trailer shown at E3 ran on the new Slipspace Engine, culminating as a tech demo for fans to see what is to come. The biggest being Gears of War 5 which has us return to the world of Sera. No exact details on any of them, but it's good to see them treating their biggest properties with forward thinking.

To cap off their E3 2018 conference, Microsoft's Phil Spencer talked more about the future of Xbox and gaming at Microsoft.

We'll keep you updated on any new information on Halo Infinite as it comes during this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo. While a bunch of exciting games were announced during the conference, it's clear that Microsoft is preparing for a brighter future beyond the Xbox One.

Adding further a Microsoft press release underlined that the addition of these creative teams "reinforces Microsoft's vision for gaming, which starts with a deep commitment to original content".

"We are taking the time we need to make the right game and are making changes to how we approach things this time around". Cyberpunk 2077 rounded off the show, though as the PS4 is the better selling console, you'd have to expect that more people will play the game on there rather than on Microsoft's hardware. It's also not hard to imagine that the streaming service will be linked to Xbox Game Pass too.

The four games studios Microsoft scooped up are Playground Games, the maker of "Forza"; Ninja Theory, the studio behind Hellblade; Compulsion Games, developer of the upcoming adventure game "We Happy Few"; and Seattle-based Undead Labs. However, Microsoft seems to be planting seeds for the next generation of consoles and hoping that these new studios will be able to fill the Xbox store with exclusives out the gate.
