EA announces new Star Wars title set between Episodes III and IV

Respawn’s Star Wars game is Jedi: Fallen Order

Respawn showed off its upcoming Star Wars game during EA's Play event today ahead of the 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. There is no word yet on who players will be controlling in the game, but fingers crossed we'll see some familiar faces like Obi-Wan Kenobi (mainly so we can get a Ewan McGregor voice cameo). We're also going to be scouring E3 and the internet for breaking stories, interesting tidbits, and rumours of what is still to be announced. EA Games, which acquired Respawn in 2017, confirmed that the game centers on "a surviving Padawan". Zampella said that it would be during the "dark times" and that naturally, players will pick up a lightsaber during the game.

It takes place when Jedi are being hunted between Episode III and IV.

Respawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella teases a dark Star Wars game for holiday 2019.

Stay tuned for more details as the game's development continues.

In 2016 the studio announced it was working in a "new adventure" in the Star Wars series, and promised it would "respect the legacy at all times". "And now, with a new team led by Stig Asmussen, we get to see what they can do when you combine that great attention to gameplay with the power of Star Wars", Soderlund's post reads.
