Watch Rudy Giuliani get booed at a Yankees game

NEW YORK NY- MAY 28 Rudy Giuliani former New York City mayor and current lawyer for President Donald Trump attends the game between the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium

In 1997, he became the first Republican since 1941 to win a second term as New York City Mayor.

Fans booed Rudy Giuliani at Yankee Stadium after the team announced that the former mayor was in attendance for his 74th birthday. Fans did not share the sentiment, the New York Daily News noted, as Giuliani was greeted with a chorus of boos from the Yankees faithful.

Giuliani, of course, recently joined President Trump's legal team and has often defended the President on different television segments.

The former mayor recalled pitching in a celebrity softball event at Yankee Stadium - "we won, I'm 1-0 here, " he said on the field before the game, the Associated Press reported. He now is a member of Donald Trump's legal team.

The Yankees lost 5-1 to the Astros.

A day before his trip to the ballpark, Giuliani made an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union".

"It is for public opinion, because eventually, the decision here is going to be impeach or not impeach", Giuliani told the host.

Rudy Giuliani didn't have the best birthday on Monday. "Let's just say he didn't have many fans in the crowd today", another posted.
