President Trump discloses payment to lawyer in financial report

President Trump's financial disclosure, released Wednesday, revealed for the first time that he paid more than $100,000 to his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, as reimbursement for payment to a third party.

Daniels has alleged she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, a claim he denies.

Rudy Giuliani, one of Trump's current lawyers, told Fox News Channel that the repayment did not have "to be disclosed at all because I think it was an expenditure that he reimbursed".

A footnote to disclosures submitted to the Office of Government Ethics said Mr Cohen had incurred "expenses" on Trump's behalf in 2016 of between $100,001 and $250,000.

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) released the disclosure forms Wednesday, along with a letter from OGE head David Apol to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in response to a request from a left-wing corruption watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), to investigate.

Things that stand out as abnormal, like documents being removed from a system, are of grave concern to me, ' the law enforcement official said, adding, 'To say that I am terrified right now would be an understatement'.

The disclosure of the 2016 payment to Cohen raises the question of whether he erred in not reporting the debt on last year's disclosure form.

"Cohen sought reimbursement of those expenses and Trump fully reimbursed Cohen in 2017", according to the document. The report estimated the holdings are worth at least $1.4 billion (€1.84 bn).

Trump's income from the Trump International Hotel in Washington, which has come under scrutiny for being a top choice for foreign dignitaries, almost doubled, from about $20 million in the 2016 report to just over $40 million past year.

Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, which the president frequents in the winter months, saw revenues of $25.1 million. "He hasn't made a single allegation against the president". A large share of that debt stems from Deutsche Bank loans to Trump National Doral.

Frank alleges Avenatti pulled a Trump in 2016 by refusing to hand over his firm's tax returns.

Since he took office, Trump's name has been erased from three of his family company's prized properties.

When Trump took office, he refused to fully divest from his global business, instead putting his assets in a trust controlled by his two sons and a senior executive.

His report shows that Trump received $64,840 from the Screen Actors Guild pension fund. Trump has appeared in several movies, including "Home Alone 2" and "Zoolander". And a man who worked as a translator for Cohen and a South Korean aerospace firm that paid Cohen's company $150,000 previous year told the Washington Post that he was contacted by FBI agents - suggesting that either Mueller's team or other federal investigators are examining his contract with Korea Aerospace Industries.

The owners of struggling hotels in Toronto and NY have paid the Trumps millions of dollars to remove their name from the properties after the election.
