NBA champ faces best of season in West final

Kevin Durant and James Harden

Falling into an 0-1 hole gives no assurances that there will be a Game 5, and it would put the Rockets' backs against the wall. Knowing that, they should not get frustrated by the Warriors.

Finally, the time has come for the two best teams to face each other in a matchup that will crown a king of the National Basketball Association.

After Harden got past Kevin Durant to score a bucket inside, Green took the ball out of the net and tried to get to the baseline to inbound it.

One thing that appears close to certain - the Warriors-Rockets conference final series should be a wild, high-scoring affair.

Kevin Durant continues to deliver in the postseason for the Golden State Warriors.

"I think we're ready for either side and we'll see which (defensive approach) is effective". The underlining issue for Houston's head coach Mike D' Antoni and figure-head James Harden, was lack of championship level defense. The offseason signings of P.J. Tucker and Luc Mbah a Moute galvanized that declaration. The Celtics play with toughness and determination, but they do not have the star power that Cleveland has.

Trevor Ariza stands out as a key for the Rockets in this series. He's made just 31.4 percent of his 3-pointers in 10 games this postseason.

Houston was up by 25 at halftime behind 34 points combined from Harden and Chris Paul. And, as Paul noted, how the teams defend on Monday in Game 1 at Toyota Center will set the tone for a series many assume will be decided on the offensive end. The high-scoring, rapid-fire pace will definitely be very entertaining.

"We won two championships in three years".

These numbers are slightly off from his seasonal averages of 30/5/9 along with 4.4 turnovers per game which alludes to the effect that Thompson has had on him. Rockets general manager Daryl Morey constructed his roster to match up with the Warriors-even admitting he was obsessed with beating the champs-and brought both players to Houston with an eye on slowing down Durant by bodying him and forcing him to take hard jump shots. They had a seven-point lead over the Rockets entering the fourth quarter and never really looked back as they lead by double digits for most of the final quarter.

A few weeks ago not many experts thought the Boston Celtics would be in this position. The No 1 and No 2 seed going head-to-head for a place in the NBA Finals. They are loaded. They are well coached...

The game plan offensively and defensively against the 76ers was beyond impressive. If the Warriors or Rockets are exhausted, can the Cavs win it all? Don't get me wrong the future is extremely bright in Boston regardless.

They finished with the league's best record this season at 65-17, but were somehow even better when all three of Harden, Paul and Clint Capela played, boasting a ridiculous mark of 50-5. James all-around game and clutch buzzer-beating moments have been breathtaking.

"Our goal is to not have many breakdowns, communicate and not foul, and play solid defense for 48 minutes", Curry said.

After Game 2 the series moves to Oracle Arena for games 3 and 4 on Sunday and Tuesday. He just impacts the game in so many mays.

"I hope not", he said. Also, JR Smith heated up and Cleveland even got solid minutes out of point guard George Hill.

"It was just a learning experience for us on how to be successful on the road in a hostile environment during the playoffs", Stephen Curry said of the 2014 series.

Question No. 2: What do the Rockets have going for them?
