National Football League free agency rumors: Dez Bryant not expected to sign before draft

If you're Bryant, it seems like a risky move to turn down that kind of money.

In six seasons with the Cowboys, Beasley has 254 catches for 2,599 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Bryant was released by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month after eight seasons with the team. Therefore, the Cowboys saved $8.5 million against the cap by releasing him.

It was first reported on April 16 that the Ravens were interested in Bryant.

One factor that could help Dallas is the lack of need at quarterback with Dak Prescott proving himself in his first two seasons to be an adequate performer at the position.

Bryant likely will wait until after the NFL Draft to sign with a team, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Bryant says he hopes to remain in the NFC East though.

David: If the Cowboys don't take a receiver at No. 19, it's reasonable to think they'll have to trade up to get the guy they want.

You can't blame the Baltimore Ravens for trying. Bryant is so behind this idea, in fact, that he reportedly turned down a multi-year offer from the Baltimore Ravens. As we now know, the AFC North runners-up subsequently doubled back and signed restricted free agent Willie Snead to an offer sheet after having put him through a workout some weeks ago. He wants to sign a one-year deal, instead of a multi-year deal, so he can sign another huge contract in 2019.
