Fortnite gets vending machines and lots of explosions with new update

The big addition to battle royale with this week's content update is the Vending Machine.

Following the latest update, players are now searching frantically for all the Fortnite Vending Machine Locations. The machines will offer three different items of that rarity, but you will have to spend a specific type of material (Wood, Stone or Metal) in order to purchase each item. The locations are now spread out all over the island map and can be accessed on both the interior and shoreline of the island. There's no purchase limit and players simply need to use materials to purchase the item, with each tier of rarity being more expansive than the last. If you find yourself with too many resources and not enough firepower in your matches, vending machines could very well be the answer to your problems.

Epic Games has announced that they'll be slowing down their Fortnite patch schedule to once every two weeks to improve bug fixing.

One of the trickier challenges this week asks players to "search the Hidden Gnome in different named locations" and requires players to do this seven times to complete the task. The machines will cycle through the three available items on a short timer, but you can speed the timer up by bashing the machine with your pickaxe.

Part of the fun with vending machines is the random nature of them.

Items found in a Common (white) version will cost 100 materials. "We're looking into this issue right now, and apologise for the inconvenience".

The 3.4 content update is now out on mobile, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
