As we all know now, Apple unveiled their new iPad in the recently concluded educational event held in Chicago. The touchless screen interaction is said to allow users to select actions by moving a finger near the screen.

Today, Taiwan-based Digitimes Research reported that Apple is working with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to produce small microLED panels for use in the AppleWatch and other wearables.
The new report however says this technology likely won't be ready for prime time for at least another two years. However, unlike Samsung's curved edge displays on their flagship smartphones, Apple will pull the curves on the top and bottom.
In its report, Bloomberg notes that both features are only in an experimental phase and that they may not necessarily come to new iPhones. The iPhone X's OLED screen curves slightly at the bottom, but the shape is mostly invisible to the human eye.
The tech is also different to Apple's existing FaceID camera sensors, which use facial recognition to unlock your iPhone X.
Unlike LCD screens, organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens are more versatile, allowing it to be folded and curved. The new display technology will help create an even more immersive experience. To stay ahead, Apple needs compelling new features and designs.
We know that Apple is at least considering this tech based on a patent released in November 2017, which described using the iPhone X's TrueDepth's camera system to recognize hand movements in 3D space.
