Mohammed had on behalf of the federal government Friday listed the PDP boss as one of those who looted ā€ˇpublic treasury during the reign of the party.

"However, attacks on individuals, who are members of our party, does not in anyway detract from the fact that the PDP, as a political platform, is not a party of corruption".

"If the persons listed view it as name-dropping, they could sue for defamation; justification is the total defence to defamation".

Emeka Etiaba, the lawyer to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has given the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, 48 hours to withdraw his libelous statement against Mr. Secondus or face litigation.

It added: "The Buhari-led Federal Government has manifested its frenzy by going after matters that are in court and in which none of the persons has been convicted, thus betraying their wickedness and desperation to mislead the public, the court and divert attention from the heavy looting involving their members".

Tinubu, while speaking during the 10th Bola Tinubu Colloquium organised to mark his 66th birthday celebration on Thursday, said "we will not allow the PDP back".

"It is tragic that Asiwaju had to tutor his visitor, who had no policy direction since his election in 2015, by engaging in a revision of the programmes and policies of the PDP, such as the leasing system, the mortgage and pension schemes which boosted the economy and directly impacted on the lives of Nigerians".
