Rejects Google Street View

The Google Street View allows a user to view public areas and more at a 360-degree panoramic street-level imagery.

The government of India has refused Google's proposal to launch street view in Google Maps.

Street View is a service from Google that provides users with 360-degree panoramic photographs of almost every road and street in a given city.

"The government has not agreed to the proposal", Ahir said in a written reply to a question. Route options available in Google Maps app have options such as best route, fewer transfers, and less walking.

Cloud Identity - An upgrade to a service that Google launched a year ago, Cloud Identity allows admins to manage the access that various users and groups have to their organization's Google Cloud Platform services. The proposal, which was submitted in July 2015, has reportedly been rejected by the government, the Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday. Google was hoping to scan the hills, rivers, and cities for a 3D view. These images are also frequently updated thus highlighting the level of detail and resource-intensive work that goes into the tech behind Street View. However, Google continued to lobby for permission.

Cloud Armor - When managing a web application, especially one that is user-facing, there is always the risk that it will fall victim to a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, which can slow even the most robust websites to a crawl or even temporarily disable them completely. It included the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Varanasi river bank, Nalanda University, Mysore Palace, Thanjavur temple and Chinnaswamy stadium, in partnership with the Archaeological Society of India.

Google Street View is present in more than 82 countries around the world, which have benefited from it in terms of tourism and other aspects.

The fact that Google's online maps shows many of India's defence installations, nuclear power plants and other "sensitive" installations have been a cause for concern among the country's security community. But given the presence of WoNoBo and Nakshe, the government's reluctance to approve Google's Street View plans doesn't make much sense.

However, authorities in charge of national security fear that such a feature which allows access to Indian topography in 360 panoramic and high-resolution imagery can compromise its security.
