Jose Mourinho to instruct board over deal for Chelsea target Alex Sandro

Fabio Capello points out the mistake Antonio Conte made in his feud with Jose Mourinho

Arsenal legend Martin Keown thinks that Chelsea are running out of steam after watching the champions held to a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge by Leicester City.

Having played Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals on Wednesday evening, the home side struggled to get going and were fortunate not to be behind at half-time after Leicester created several good opportunities.

Antonio Conte had said before the match that Leicester were the "worst" side for Chelsea to face after a busy recent run of fixtures, and so it proved as the visitors came flying out of the traps and immediately applied pressure.

"When I chose to put fresh energy (substitutes Willian and Pedro), the game changed".

Palace lost their first seven games of the season but are now five points clear of safety and Hodgson said: "We can look at the league table for a week or two without shivers running down our spine".

"Compared to last season we are conceding less, we are showing great solidity defensively".

Chelsea head coach Conte on Saturday said the feeling was mutual and that he would not be losing any sleep over the matter, insisting again he was stopping the verbal sparring.

"We have to improve if we want to score and we want to win".

Crystal Palace continued their rise up the table under former England manager Roy Hodgson by beating Burnley 1-0, Bakary Sako scoring the only goal of the game with an angled left-foot drive in the 21st minute.

"Cahill was a muscular problem, but not a serious problem", Conte added.

Whether it's fitness concerns or a tactical decision which leads to Conte's tendency to remove Hazard from the fray, supporters are unhappy that their best player isn't being allowed to help the side when they're chasing a goal.

"What I will say to him is to continue to work for the team as you always do and the luck will come again, so I'm not anxious about him".

Conte had been wary of the Foxes and his concern proved well founded.

"But, it (contempt) is the same for me".
