National Basketball Association disciplines four after feisty night between Raptors, Heat

Heat forward James Johnson will miss Miami's game tonight at IN after being suspended for one game for his role IN the altercation with Toronto's Serge Ibaka on Tuesday.

Wayne Ellington's driving layup with 0.3 seconds remaining gave the Miami Heat a dramatic 90-89 win over the Toronto Raptors to end their 12-game winning streak at home. The two squared up after Ibaka set a screen near the left elbow.

A pair of incidents Tuesday involving two Toronto starters have resulted in a one-game suspension of Serge Ibaka and a $25,000 fine for DeMar DeRozan handed down by the National Basketball Association on Wednesday.

Officials reviewed the incident and then issued technical fouls and ejections to both players. The NBA announced the suspensions were for "throwing punches at one another". DeRozan was fined $25,000. Ibaka's salary is $20.1 million.

In a heated affair, both Serge Ibaka and James Johnson were ejected in the third quarter after a physical altercation on the floor.

James Johnson's absence could leave the Heat with 10 available players tonight, but just six from the regular rotation.

Rookie Bam Adebayo replaced the ejected Johnson and played by final 20 minutes. The Raptors forward previously received a one-game suspension last season after trading punches with Robin Lopez during the Raptors' overtime win over the Bulls.
