Arsenal Ready to Return for Lemar, Gunners 4/1 to Seal Deal

Thomas Lemar

This comes after Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim seemed to hint at a possible January exit for the midfielder.

Arsenal's attempts to sign the player will also be helped by Monaco's softening stance on Lemar possibly leaving in the winter transfer window.

Jardim's comments regarding potential winter sales may offer Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hope regarding his chances of landing France global Lemar, particularly with Monaco out of the UEFA Champions League.

Reports of the Reds' interest in Lemar have been wildly contrasting since Philippe Coutinho's £142 million move to Barcelona.

But with the scoring form of Liverpool's trio, especially Salah who has 17 goals so far at 0.96 per 90, Lemar to Liverpool could be a deal worth doing.

The Frenchman will be even more furious if he is beaten to the punch by Liverpool this month, however, as Jurgen Klopp earmarks Lemar as the man to take Coutinho's place in his pacy attacking Reds side.

But a report from L'Equipe on Saturday claimed that Monaco have softened that stance, believing they can now earn more from his departure now than if they wait for the summer.

"So for Monaco, and I'm not saying they might still sell him now, but for them it would make no sense whatsoever to do so and that's why they're saying, one and off the record: "We don't usually sell in January, especially not our big players". With surging interest of the top clubs in their prized possession, Monaco have made a decision to encash big on Lemar and have demanded a whopping £90 million for his services.

"You come to Liverpool... But I can see why Liverpool want it to happen now as well".
