Devin Booker's injury could have wide-ranging effects

Suns' Devin Booker expected to miss two-to-three weeks with groin strain

Suns interim head coach Jay Triano kept things in perspective when asked about Bookers injury after the game, per ESPN.

Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker was carried off the court late in the fourth quarter Wednesday (AEDT) in a 126-113 loss to the Raptors.

Booker was wheeled through the airport in Toronto after the game - and while he didn't say much, you can see he looks pretty sad.

He is averaging 24.3 points, 4.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game this season, which would all be career-high totals.

With each of these players unavailable or off the roster, the Suns have had to use James more than they planned.

The Suns announced that Booker will undergo further tests upon the team's return to Phoenix.

The 21-year-old guard bent over in pain and remained so for a few minutes before being carried off.

The Suns are pretty terrible this season, but they've actually shown little signs of competitiveness from time to time. Booker is one of the few reasons to watch the team play as now constructed because he's blossoming into an offensive star.
