Clinton was warned about Weinstein by Lena Dunham

Some of his accusers said Weinstein began masturbating or showering in front of them.

The Daily Beast reports the lawsuit names James Dolan, former director of The Weinstein Co. and current owner of the NBA's New York Knicks and the NHL's New York Rangers, as part of the "Weinstein Sexual Enterprise" that conspired to hide his alleged misbehavior.

The actress has accused the shamed film producer of wielding her name like "an assault weapon" in a string of "disturbing encounters".

Dunham, a long-time Hillary Clinton supporter, said she tried to tell Clinton campaign staffers of the numerous assault and harassment allegations against Weinstein, a Clinton donor and supporter, The New York Times reported. "I think it's a really bad idea for him to host fund-raisers and be involved because it's an open secret in Hollywood that he has a problem with sexual assault", Dunham said she related to the Clinton campaign deputy communications director Kristina Schake.

Paltrow said no and later told her boyfriend at the time, Brad Pitt, who went on to confront Weinstein ― a move that prompted Weinstein to scold the actress.

It has been two decades since Gwyneth Paltrow turned down Harvey Weinstein's offer for a massage, but the actress only recently learned that the disgraced film producer had been using her name in a lie to lure women into his bed. Brown said in an email.

With the Democratic National Convention approaching in summer 2016, Ms. Dunham said she also warned Adrienne Elrod, a spokeswoman for Mrs. Clinton who was leading efforts with celebrity campaigners. Documents filed in NY federal court Wednesday seek to represent a class of "dozens, if not hundreds" of women who say they were assaulted by Weinstein.

Both Schake and Elrod told The Times in a statement that Dunham had never mentioned rape in regards to Weinstein.
