Sergio Ramos responds to rumours about his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo

FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi looks on during a Spanish La Liga soccer match between FC Barcelona and Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona Saturday Dec. 2 2017

Borussia Dortmund's Peter Bosz spoke before his side take on Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The champions have found it more hard than usual to break down opposing defences this season, with the lack of goalscoring form of all their top dogs, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Bemzema, raising eyebrows.

Barca's frustrating afternoon at a cold and sparsely attended Nou Camp was made worse by France worldwide Umtiti being ruled out for eight weeks, including missing the Clasico at champions Real Madrid on December 23.

Throughout his nine seasons with Real, Benzema has also tended to save his best for the European stage and he became the fifth-top scorer in the competition's history with a double in a 6-0 rout of APOEL Nicosia two weeks ago.

The Spain global was in inspirational form as a Jesse Lingard brace saw United narrow the gap to five points behind league leaders and rivals Manchester City ahead of next weekend's derby at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo's public questioning of Real's transfer policy over the summer is said to have irked Ramos, with the Portuguese expressing his frustration at seeing Pepe, Fabio Coentrao and James Rodriguez leave the club.

A series of disappointing performances have left the defending LaLiga champions eight points off the pace in the title race, with Zinedine Zidane's side perched in fourth spot.

Casemiro said: "We had a chance to cut points and we played well".

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has dismissed the notion of a rift between him and team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, insisting the pair have always shared a "great friendship".

"But when it does, it won't stop, so we have to keep working".
