The day has almost arrived, as three of the promised Jak and Daxter games are set to launch on the PlayStation Store next week.

Naughty Dog further changed the series by releasing Jak X: Combat Racing in 2005, offering a vehicle racing multiplayer experience.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is available now on PS4.

See the official game site here and the announcement here on the PS Blog. You'll have the option of either purchasing the games in a bundle or individually, though anyone who's played Jak and Daxter will likely go straight for the bundle. Jak II also took a darker tone than the original, adding a "dark Jak" form and pushing the game's rating to Teen instead of Everyone.

A new trailer for Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing has been embedded above.

Jak II, Jak 3 and Jack X Combat Racing will all be available on the platform starting from December 6th.

In celebration of Naughty Dog's rich heritage, it is with great pleasure that we present to you these Jak & Daxter classics on the PS4. With Jak able to talk, Naughty Dog transformed the initially whimsical tone of the series into a much darker one in succeeding games.

Naughty Dog said that four Jak and Daxter games from the PlayStation 2 will be released on the PlayStation Store as digital downloads for the PlayStation 4. It put them on the path that led to the creation of future blockbuster franchises like Uncharted and The Last of Us- and to think it all started with giving Jak his own voice.
