Judge Who Sentenced Meek Mill Is Currently Under FBI Investigation

Rally for Meek Protesters Assemble to Protest Meek Mill Sentencing

"If it take Meek Mill to draw this attention, we gonna use Meek Mill to draw this attention, but it's gonna speak for so many others", Ross said during the event. This requires more than just gradual reform in laws-It requires a swift overhaul.

Supporters call for justice for imprisoned rapper Meek Mill during a rally outside the Criminal Justice Center on November 13, 2017.

The people of Philadelphia came out to show support for Meek Mill on Monday, with a rally held for the rapper in protest against his lengthy prison sentence. He was sentenced to another five months in prison in 2014 after he violated his probation by performing out of state.

TMZ and The New York Post's Page Six reported that the FBI is investigating Judge Genece Brinkley, who sentenced Mill to two to four years for violating his probation.

"(Meek's) frustrated, really frustrated, and knows he's being treated different than anyone else", Tacopina said.

Carmen Perez: The biggest incongruities of this case is that this young man who has worked so hard on behalf of his community, getting clean and contributing back - has had so-called "probation offenses" dogging him for more than 10 years.

Meek reportedly rejected Judge Brinkley's alleged suggestion because Mack is a convicted felon and Mill's probation prohibits associations with convicted felons.

And Kevin added, "Let's go Philadelphia".

On Nov. 6, she said he could be "greater than Jay-Z", and claimed she noticed that potential "back in 2009".

The first filing Tuesday - a day after hundreds of supporters met outside the city Criminal Justice Center demanding Mill's release - asked Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley to disqualify herself from further involvement his case and allow a new judge to reconsider Mill's prison sentence. Meanwhile, Tacopina declined to comment on reports that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was probing Brinkley's handling of the case.

"She's enamored with him", Tacopina tells Billboard. Mill is signed to Ross' Maybach Music Group. "We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career".
