Anthony Martial: 'I want to play more at Manchester United'

Rather Than Being A Big Game Master, Manchester United's Jose Mourinho Has Become A Big Game Coward

"It already is a big game but it has become massive now".

Manchester United are aiming to challenge for the Premier League title this season after they finished sixth in the table last term.

Rewind to 2008-09; and Manchester United were the team to watch, the team to beat.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Portuguese has again sought assurances United would be prepared to back him in the transfer market, either in January or next summer.

With Unai Emery and Brazilian superstar Neymar not seeing eye to eye, it seems inevitable that the Spaniard will be replaced at the end of 2017/2018.

United splashed £140.9m in the transfer window last summer as they signed Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof but Mourinho did not hide his frustration as the club failed to secure the fourth signing he craved.

This verdict is delivered by Simon Stone, a journalist with good contacts at Manchester United.

JOSE MOURINHO has been sounded out by Paris Saint-Germain on being their next manager.

United had published their latest financial results for the 2017 financial year in September, reporting a 13.5% wage bill rise to £263m.

The Spanish midfielder has been something of a regular fixture in the first team at Old Trafford since Mourinho's appointment at the club back in the summer of 2016.

Mourinho was able to sell Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin for a combined £38m in the last January window, as well as freeing up £200,000 with the departure of Bastian Schweinsteiger on a free to Chicago Fire.

Only two current Manchester United squad members are mentioned in the article on the BBC website: Luke Shaw and Marouane Fellaini.

Things took a turn for the worse when Jose Mourinho was appointed as Man United manager.

It is understood that the bosses want to tie him down to a new deal but there have been no negotiations so far.

Mourinho came in at the exact same time as Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, who similarly splash the cash with frequency, and in huge amounts. By the day, this is becoming a major topic regarding the future of Mourinho.
