Nokia 9 render hits the web, seen with a 'new' design

Early renders of the upcoming Nokia 9 enticed with a bezel-less screen and vertically-arranged dual camera.

Following the apparent success of a low-priced unlocked Nokia 6 stateside (actual sales numbers remain unknown), it seemed pretty reasonable to expect an eventual official USA expansion for the Europe-first Nokia 8.

It all comes at a premium, mind you, as the Nokia 8 will set you back £499. This is not the first time that we have been hearing about the Nokia 9.

In addition, Nokia 9 is also expected to feature a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution, a fingerprint sensor on its back, rear dual cameras and thin bezles. Also, the display on the alleged Nokia 9 looks bezel-less on the sides. Is using 3.5 mm headphone jack is something certified as the moving forward move? Having launched impressive smartphones such as the Nokia 8, even to the extent of promising Android P for all its current smartphones, the future is bright for both HMD and Nokia. Not sure about the megapixel count, but it should either be 12 or 13. This is because the Finnish company could be testing more than one prototype of the Nokia 9.

The Nokia 8 has a full-metal exterior, a QHD display and is powered by the Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor.

Other likely specs include 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of default storage, and an iris scanner.

Details on pricing and availability weren't given, but a leak from earlier this week suggested that the Nokia 9 might be announced sometime in early 2018 alongside the budget-friendly Nokia 2 and the mid-range Nokia 7, according to Phone Arena. However, as per as its price is concerned, as it will be a flagship device, it will cost more as compare to Nokia's other devices.
