Next week's iOS 11 update will include hundreds of new emoji

Goodies like the "shhh" emoji, the I-love-something-in-a-different-color, and the curling emoji are all part of the package. Yay! Next week, #Apple is said to releasing the beta update for its first major update on iOS 11. In total, 51 icons were approved by Unicode Consortium.

This emoji is a visual representation of the American Sign Language hand sign for "I love you"; now we just need an emoji of Han Solo doing that face he makes when he says "I know".

With a not-so-subtle wink and a nod, Apple is already previewing its iOS 11.1 update today with a preview of new emoji to come.

Apple has shown off more emoji characters coming to iOS in the future 11.1 update.

Apple has also included an Orange Heart, Person in Lotus Position, Woman Climbing, Person Climbing, Person in Steamy Room, Woman Zombie, Man Zombie, Elf, Merperson, Vampire, Fairy, and more.

Apple's iOS 11.1, which is now in testing, obviously won't be a release as big as iOS 11, which launched last month. Gender neutral multiple skin tone emojis are introduced means giving priority to all types of skin tones with no particular singular skin tone.

A hedgehog, giraffe and a cricket are among new creatures that have been added.

Once the iOS 11.1 public beta hits, you'll want to head back to the Apple Beta website and click over to the iOS tab. Apple originally teased some of the new emoji a month later for World Emoji Day, stating that they'd be coming later this year.

Face emojis got a little more silly with a tilted expression with the tongue out, sophisticated by wearing a monocle, and snippy with a to-the-point "Shhh!" emoji.
