Odell Beckham (ankle, finger) is practicing Wednesday for Giants

Odell Beckham Jr. left Thursday's Giants practice early and did not return, and coach Ben McAdoo couldn't say definitively whether he had aggravated his left ankle injury.

The latest injury concern comes on the heels of the latest Beckham firestorm where he revealed that Bucs cornerback Vernon Hargreaves told him after the game that they knew the routes the Giants receivers were going to run. "He was just like, 'We know a lot of what you're doing, '" said Beckham, who injured his finger trying to put a little something extra into a route in the second quarter.

"You don't want to go back into a training camp mode, but you want to get pretty close", McAdoo said.

"I mean, they study film", Beckham said. It's our offense. We were 11-5 past year and we were running the same thing. Is it really this, or are we just not executing right? And, I don't think we're executing the way that we can, at a higher level. So, yeah, it wasn't a problem a year ago when we were winning games. "It's just a matter of execution, really".

Beckham has had his share of dropped passes, which doesn't help the offense. I'm going to beat you inside and I'm going to catch this ball and get 7 yards.' Whatever you're going to get. It's just something, my confidence is too high.

"I just knew I couldn't be in that environment. I didn't do it on objective". It's not like the offense didn't score, either.

"You ask about what the league can do, [NFL commissioner Roger Goodell] was there Saturday night with important partners of the Chargers, talking to them, and was there again Sunday morning with partners and fans, three and a half hours before the game, and spent time with the team, the executives, some of the former players".

"I don't want to spend my time talking about what we did in Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4. It's not that we're pressing, but now is the time".

Beckham would love to be in a position to make the kind of big plays that have become his signature. We start to make plays. "Like, yeah. We wish we could get those, but we take what we can get right now". But, we went back in. Giants players admitted that opponents knew what was coming and that the offense was predictable. However, the Chargers have their own 0-4 record and are equally anxious to get into the win column. "You can fight through all the pain in the world, but losing games is not fun". "We had a tough game, a tough loss". We had a tough loss.

A win could finally be on the horizon for NY with the Los Angeles Chargers coming to town Sunday.

"Head up like a nose bleed", Beckham said of the team's mentality. Do it. I don't see you doing it. This is going to be the turnaround. Yes, things can only go up from here. "I didn't get my head around fast enough". However, it's no coincidence that keeping Manning upright led to back-to-back weeks of scoring 20 points or more, something they were unable to do for eight consecutive games beforehand. What do you want to do in them? "It's up to us".
