GoPro Hero 6 Black shoots faster 4K video than your DSLR

GoPro Hero 6 Launch Event

The camera maker also announced that its GoPro Fusion spherical camera will be released in November for $699.99. It was announced by GoPro today alongside the new HERO6 Black camera at the company's launch event in San Francisco. Its body is rugged and waterproof, and the video quality looked really great (not as ideal as I initially thought, but the stitching between the two lenses looked better than most 360 cameras). In fact, the only smartphone that offers this feature is the latest iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X lineup. GoPro has also aimed to improve dynamic range and low-light performance. What we think GoPro Hero 6 Black is a pretty good device which comes with a hefty price tag. This will include the OverCapture feature on the day of launch, so you won't necessarily have to wait for the app's update. It may not be an ability you'll ever use on a GoPro, but even if that's the case these videos will help you get an idea of what the company's newest camera is capable at one of its limits.

Already available to purchase, it displays a price of 569,99 euros on the official site of GoPro. Wedbush reaffirmed a "hold" rating and issued a $9.00 price target on shares of GoPro in a report on Thursday, June 1st. "We haven't had to work around somebody's else chip design and chip limitation", GoPro founder and CEO Nick Woodman told Engadget.

Hero6 with a more powerful custom GP1 chip along with vastly improved recording capabilities shows new soul in an old body with waterproof without housing.

It's that improvement that we're most excited about at Outside.

While the Hero 6 may not look much different than the Hero 5, there's a lot new going on under the hood. There's both WiFi and Bluetooth to hook up to GoPro's app, along with voice control with support for ten languages. The Fusion can capture 360-degree footage at 5.2K resolution and 30fps or 3K resolution and 60fps. Overcapture will allow users to capture stills, photo bursts, and regular video from the existing footage that is captured in 360-degrees. Samsungs Gear 360 is now in its second edition (2017 Edition) and captures 360 degree images at 15MP (5,472 x 2,736 pixels) resolution and FullHD videos at 60fps. This feature allows users to manipulate their 360 videos to turn them into flat 1080p full HD videos, according to The Verge. GoPro's Fusion 360 uses basically the same trick.

Fusion Studio desktop software will be available when the product ships.

The small 360 degree camera is also waterproof up to 16 feet, and equipped with a GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth as well as being compatible with most GoPro mounts now available.

The GoPro Karma's new tracking features aren't as sophisticated as DJI's visual algorithms.

The GoPro Hero 6 Black is available now for $500, which is $100 more expensive than the Hero 5.
