Xiaomi To Unveil Mi Mix 2 On September 11

Xiaomi Mi 7 with OLED screen and SD 845 to be launched in Q1 2018

Of course, there have been multiple rumors and leaks so far, revealing details like Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6-inch screen, Nougat OS, 3D facial recognition support, and 4,500mAh battery. Last year's Mi Mix featured a massive 6.4-inch display, but this year's Mix 2 will likely feature a 6.2-inch display, according to the screenshot. While the initiative has fizzled out in countries like India, with no major manufacturer having launched a new Android One smartphone in quite a while, companies like Japan's Sharp and Turkey's General Mobile have still been releasing such devices.

Now, we have come across few leaks, which explains a lot about the Mi Mix 2 and suggest that the device may come with Snapdragon 836 chipset and Android 8.0 out of the box. The company has already teased the device with dual camera setup.

We don't know much about the smartphone apart from the Geekbench listing and the name "A1". In spite of having a very compact body, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 still manages to provide dual-SIM functionality. Having said that, we have also included an action camera here, and an Android-powered TV box, just in case you're in a market for one.

So, the company is saying that it will unveil a smartphone, which is part of a new-series, with dual rear cameras for the worldwide markets. But, it is noteworthy that Snapdragon 836 chip is yet to be official and Mi Mix 2 is launching on September 11, which is next week. Interestingly, if Mi A1 is launched in the upcoming event, it will be the first Xiaomi phone to run on stock Android rather than the brand's own custom skin, MIUI. While the Mi 5X isn't the most loved device, it offers a relatively impressive package for its price tag.

It did not specific any actual launch date but it is considered routine for the Shenzhen-based company, however, to reveal new phones in late September and analysts expect to see its latest product by the end of the month.
