Shockingly Little Pokemon Go at Pokemon Go Fest

Pokemon GO: Articuno Might Leave Raid Battles Soon

In theory, the idea behind Pokemon Go Fest today was that players in Chicago were going to catch certain types of Pokemon, and doing so would unlock bonuses for players around the world. Frustrated, the fans chanted "fix the game" during game developer Niantic's opening presentation and Niantic CEO John Hanke was booed when he took the stage, according to the Chicago Tribune. Fans of the game have been asking for legendary monsters to be included in the game's official roster, and it appears that players can get their hands on legendary monsters at "Pokemon GO" Fest this July 22.

Niantic engineers are now working on the issue and the company will reportedly refund participants for their tickets and give them $100 in PokeCoins which is the virtual currency in the game. "So, I want to ask you guys, please know, we've got the whole Niantic team working against this, so please be patient with us".

Niantic hasn't yet announced what it will do about the worldwide roll-out of legendary Pokémon.

The legendary Pokemon will be much powerful compared to other Pokemon in the game.

More from Niantic on the subject of how the Legendary launches will work in the future: "As Trainers around the world go out and explore their neighborhoods in search of Pokémon and Raid Battles, they can keep an eye out for unique Legendary Eggs appearing at Gyms". "Everyone who has successfully checked in will receive Lugia in your account", she said. For those not in attendance at the event, be sure to stay tuned for the latest on the Pokemon GO Fest challenges and exciting kick-start of legendary Pokemon in the game.
