Why Keshia Knight Pulliam Is Supporting Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby's co-star, Keshia Knight Pulliam, continues to support her TV dad, stopping by "The Today Show" to talk about what she heard inside the Pennsylvania courtroom on the first day of Cosby's sexual assault trial.

Cosby, 79, has pleaded not guilty to drugging and molesting Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004.

Attorney Michael Bressler, who has been watching the trial proceedings, said long deliberations, in general, could be an indication that an ongoing debate is happening behind the closed doors as jurors take "issue with some of the facts".

The jury has spent about 16 hours deliberating on both Monday and Tuesday, and they resumed their deliberations on Wednesday morning. The jurors asked to re-hear the testimony of a police detective who interviewed Cosby in 2005. He's drawn throngs of cameras with his updates on Cosby's mood and assertions that the comedian isn't getting a fair shake. She had been present during the first two days of deliberations. They called a second woman, Kelly Johnson, to testify he sexually assaulted her in 1996 and showed jurors his deposition testimony in which he admitted giving young women sedatives in the 1970s. Constand has denied Cosby's explanation, [ultimately] telling police, "We were not involved in any romantic relationship".

His primary complaint? O'Neill's decision Monday to bar the defense from calling what would have been one of its only witnesses, Marguerite Jackson, a Temple University academic adviser who said Constand once described how she could frame "a high-profile" person on accusations that he had sexually assaulted her.

He purchased a $250 hair dryer and encouraged her to change her hairstyle, Mr. Cosby said.

Cosby claimed in a deposition, which was taken in 2005 and 2006 for a civil lawsuit that was later settled, that he gave Benadryl to Constand to help her relax and enjoy a consensual sexual encounter. Later, she said the incident happened when she went to Cosby's house alone in January 2004.

Delano also said that if Cosby were to be convicted of any of the three felony counts, Montgomery County District Attorney and lead prosecutor Kevin Steele could move immediately to revoke his bail and incarcerate him. Cosby also declined to tell her what pills he had given Andrea Constand, but he did say they were from a prescription bottle, she testified.

"In my head I was trying to get my hands to move or my legs to move, but I was frozen and those [mental] messages didn't get there and I was very limp, so I wasn't able to fight him anyway", she said. Cosby has given a sealed deposition in the case.

The AP does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done. "They may send out notice to the judge that they are deadlocked and can not reach a decision on one, some or all of the charges", said Fitzpatrick.

"Yes, he has been unfaithful but if she is willing to forgive him, that's between him and his wife".
