Singer Adele joins vigil for victims of London tower block inferno

The London-raised singer was pictured lending her support at the scene in West London, arranging bin bags of clothing, food and other essentials that have been donated to help those affected by the fire, reports mirror.co.uk.

POP stars Adele and Rita Ora have lent a hand with the Grenfell Tower relief efforts.

"Respect to both of you", FourMee wrote in her post.

'I used to play in that block - I want to do all I can do to help'.

Earlier in the day, Ora revealed that Grenfell Tower was in her "neighbourhood" and used to be one of her childhood haunts. Adele was seen very emotional as she hugged and comforted the #fire victims.

Previously speaking to the Evening Standard about her childhood, Rita said: 'We lived in Earls Court, on the Old Brompton Road.

In March, Adele lamented not being in her hometown following the terror attack in Westminster which saw five people killed and 40 injured, when a the rampaging terrorist fatally stabbed a police officer before being shot dead by guards.

Following the tragic events which began on Tuesday night in West London, pictures have been broadcast around the world showing the horrific fire which has sadly claimed the lives of so many people and devastated the lives of many more.

"Just spotted @Adele and Simon Konecki visiting the Grenfell Tower, she was dressed in an abaya".

According to the Guardian, the blaze that quickly spread through Grenfell Tower near Notting Hill while many residents slept came after years of concerns from the building's residents association about a number of potential safety issues.

Just to continue our Adele love, remind yourselves of that time she got scared on stage by a wild bat!
