Receiver Jeremy Maclin Signs 2-year Contract With Ravens

REPORT WRs Jeremy Maclin Eric Decker landing elsewhere soon

The Ravens now have Maclin, Mike Wallace and former first-round pick Breshad Perriman, who has battled a litany of injuries during his first two seasons in the National Football League, as the team's main wide receivers. Unfortunately, Maclin ended up signing with the Baltimore Ravens, the team he visited after his visit with Buffalo.

Maclin, drafted 19th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009, has 6,395 yards receiving with 46 touchdowns for his career.

In all honesty, Maclin is an excellent receiver and would make the Raiders offense (even more of) a juggernaut.

Recently released free agent wide receiver #Jeremy Maclin has decided what team he will play for in the upcoming 2017 season. If he can't ascend quickly during training camp, Maclin is going to run right past him and take his spot on the field as soon as Week 1. In those seasons, he averaged 75 receptions, 970 yards, and 8.3 touchdowns. However, he finished his injury-plagued 2016 season with career lows in catches (44), yards (536), and touchdowns (two).

The Ravens were in the market for help in the passing game following the retirement of Steve Smith and the release of tight end Dennis Pitta. His ability to run precise routes and work inside could give speedsters Wallace and Perriman space on the outside. Maybe the Eagles' interest in Maclin had to do something with moving on from JMatt. But are the Ravens really done when it comes to adding pass-catching talent to their roster? As a rookie, Hill has already been inducted into the Pro Bowl and been named as an All-Pro player. The Ravens have made a ton of moves this offseason to improve the defense and now the offense is finally getting some love.

It has been a hard offseason for the Ravens' offense.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports both the Bills and Ravens expect Jeremy Maclin to choose his new team on Monday.

Any cap room they have, or create, may go to fortifying the offensive line as the Ravens now have questions at right tackle and center.
