'Pokemon Go' Easter Event Starts With Egg Hunt Scenario

Pokemon GO Update Should Block GPS Spoofing

Pokemon Go developer Niantic will be pleased to hear the results of a brand new study.

Given the announcement of "Pokemon Go" "Eggstravaganza" Event, it is highly likely that more will come in the weeks to come. Players are encouraged to go out and hunt for some Eggs in the area because it will hatch an increased variety of Pokemon, especially the two-kilometer ones.

This is an issue with many games, which is why games like League of Legends and DotA 2 have tools in place to report such players, and why some games such as Hearthstone do not even allow gamers to chat with each other.

Last week, Niantic announced that the game had reached a new milestone by having 65 million active users since it was released past year.

"There's this idea that playing games and being on your phone is a negative social experience that detracts from things, but there haven't been many chances to ask large groups of players about their experiences", said one of the researchers James Alex Bonus from University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US.

Pokemon Go Easter Event is Live and introduces tons of new stuff in the game. "To make this Eggstravaganza even sweeter, Lucky Eggs will be 50% off in the in-game shop", they added. So, go out there and go hatch some eggs!

Players will also receive double the amount of XP for all actions taken, as well as additional Candy for every egg hatched. "Combine this Egg-cellent bonus with a Lucky Egg, and you'll earn four times the XP you normally would", said Niantic in the announcement. Rumors say hatches will include some rare Pokemon: Lapras, Snorlax, and so on (usually 10KM+).
